3. Examinees will have to download and install a program called starQuiz Netclient on their laptops. It's free and comes in windows and mac versions. (Download here: http://www.cosmicsoft.net/starQuizNetClient/index.html) You will use this program to access the test (no browser needed)
4. Examinees will type in the quiz address (to be given on the day itself)
5. Examinees will log in by choosing their name on a list
6. The program will access the server to download the test
7. Examinees will click the circle corresponding to their answer
8. Examinees click Submit to finish their test. This uploads the finished test back to the server.
9. Examinees can then review the whole test with the correct answers right after. Scores can also be viewed instantly
Security considerations for the quiz:
1. Examinees will be in one place and someone will watch over them
2. Examiness are not to leave the test screen for the duration of the test. Otherwise, it will be detected by the system as cheating.
3. Although there is only 1 set of questions, the order of the questions are random and unique for each examinee
4. Examinees can review the exam afterwards.
5. I will be able to monitor any attempt to access the test again just to copy questions. The results of the test are constantly displayed in my computer.
6. Examinees will not be able to take the test if they are not on the list. Please check the list attached for the names of examinees.
7. Examinees will use the cursor and mouse for answering and scrolling thru the test. Avoid using the keys. There were inadvertent and pre-mature test submissions in the past when using the keys.
8. Examinees can change their answers anytime during the test. Clicking the Submit button makes everything final.
